3 steps to more space in Firefox
This is a guide to obtaining a larger browsing area in Firefox using a few extensions and by rearanging some buttons on the toolbar.
| I have been using this layout for a few months now and the things i like the most about it are the fact that it distracts me less from the contents of the sites and that it is also simple yet usefull. The main ideea behind it is the compact tollbar that integrates the menu, address bar, bookmarks and search bar. |

Step 1 Install the Tiny Menu extension from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1455. This extensions groups all the menu items into a single menu and in this way you gain a lot of toolbar space. The extension also has an option that allows you not to remove certain menu items from the toolbar. This is recomended if you use some of the menus frequently (for example View or Tools).
Step 2 Put all your bookmarks into a single folder so they will be available by a menu in the bookmarks toolbar. It will also help to give it a short name so that it will occupy a smaller area.
Step 3 Right click any toolbar and select Customize, select “use small icons” then put the navigation icons, address bar, serch bar, and bookmarks area on the menu toolbar ( the one where the menu usualy sits ). Then hide the Navigation and Bookmarks toolbars (that are now empty).
This in an screenshot of the final result
(i also use the page rank feature that i got from the google toolbar)
I hope that tis guide is usfull for you or at least gives you an idea of the possible ways to modify Firefox
